Hobbies: Getting outside, backpacking, swimming, cycling, yoga-ing, reading, writing, listening to live music, getting hopelessly lost and trying to find my keys
Favorite section of my regular running route: Reaching the top of Mount Tabor, the inactive volcano 30 blocks from my house (with my favorite running partner,  Laura Cooke). There’s a grove of old fir trees up there and views of downtown PDX and Mt. Hood.
Favorite food: Pad See Ew from a food cart downtown.
Favorite pump-up song: Outkast “B.O.B.” and Justin Timberlake “Sexy Back”
Thing I’m most worried about for this race: Lack of sleep, the hillz
Why I’m doing this race: To experience running in the Blue Ridges, enjoy the company of friends and family, push myself and have fun

Favorite section of my regular running route: The top of an inactive volcano 30 blocks from my house – you can see Mt. Hood and the whole city of Portland – if I make it up there
Favorite food: Cheese – of any kind
Favorite pump-up song: Miley Cyrus – Can’t be Tamed (don’t judge, it works)
Thing I’m most worried about for this race: Staying awake enough to keep running and hoping my knees with hold up
Why I’m doing this race: To spend time with my uncle, cousin, and family and to challenge myself

Favorite section of my regular running route: Around the lake in my neighborhood – usually I can see a Blue Heron or two.

Favorite pump-up song: Bad Reputation by Joan Jett (impossible to run slow to that one); many Black-Eyed Peas songs.
Thing I’m most worried about for this race: Hope the others don’t mind if I sweat a little!
Why I’m doing this race: Bill & Lisa wouldn’t stop pestering me, but it does sound like fun, in a masochistic kind of way.

Fav part of reg run:  the cold ice water after I am finished

Song: no music, I am in the zone!
Worried about: getting a babysitter for my 4 kids! You wouldn’t want my 4 year old in the van with us for more than 10 minutes, let alone 24? Hours!
Why runnin: pesky neighbor! And I can’t have my brothers do the hood to coast without having something to brag about too!

Thing you’re most worried about for this race:  humidity – I don’t fare well in humid conditions

Biggest worry about this race     Running in the dark in the mountains.  I know how dark and hilly it can get in our mountains.  And not really knowing what I am getting into.
 Why doing this race   The challenge,  being around other runners,  I was asked to do it,  and all my none running friends think I am nuts.
